Visit by French Students
In April 2019 K&D joinery hosted 21 French joinery students, for a visit to the company’s 50,000ft2 manufacturing facilities in Dagenham, Essex. The visiting students were all from the Julien Crozt Vocational School in Port-Louis, South Brittany, France and were completing their three year Joinery and Carpentry course aiming to become joiners and specialist carpenters.
The party were welcomed to the factory and then split into three groups and given a full tour of the factory with the K&D workforce providing them with a good understanding of how K&D Joinery functions and operates efficiently. They were shown around our CNC department and seeing first-hand our CNC machines in operation, and were able to discuss the technical side of these machines with our CNC programmers.
They were then invited into our brand new 18,000ft2 factory where our staircases and cabinetry production departments are now situated along with the new K&D offices and show room. They meet the CAD team, appreciating the level of detail provided in the technical drawings produced for every item of bespoke joinery manufactured.
During refreshments in our new showroom at the end of the tour, the students were given a collection of K&D souvenir from their visit. We look forward to welcoming next years students!
