We had single glaze stained glass in the old bay windows and they liaised with a specialist company to replicate them in double glazing - the new ones are perfect and identical to the old single glazed ones! The installation was very smooth, minimal damage to surrounding walls and the guys made good around them. All the guys were very friendly and polite, and the owner was great to work with and visited regularly to make sure everything was going well. Edwardian house, replacement windows etc. K&D replaced the sash windows in our Edwardian house last year. Very good work and service. We had no hesitation in asking them to replace the bay windows this year. Having had a very bad experience with a previous windows firm, it was such a pleasure to feel totally confident that everything would be done properly and if it wasn't 100%, it would be redone. We also had the front of the house painted and a lot of painting and woodwork replaced at the back. Inevitably with such a job, problems came to light, (out of sight woodwork rotting, cracks in pebbledash etc), these were automatically sorted. It was good to have the one firm who could just fix everything. Larry was very present, checking that everything was done to their high standards. All the K&D people who came to work here were very pleasant and obliging, did a good job and left everything clean. Excellent service and quality of work. We are very happy with the windows etc and wouldn't fail to recommend them.

K&D made replacement wooden drawers for two built-in mid century sideboards whose original drawers were destroyed in a house clearance before we bought the house. The new drawers are beautiful outside and inside, and despite being all different sizes, all fit like a glove. They even have the identical beading to the doors on the sideboards. K&D just made and installed fitted wardrobes for our loft conversion. The whole process has been very professional. We received detailed drawings to approve, along with images charting their progress throughout production. The installation was in an awkward space in the loft but all the parts were bubble wrapped and flat packed, and there was no problem getting everything into the space to be fitted. The installation was very professional and tidy, and we are delighted with the finished product which looks and feels high quality. Solid recommendation.

New sash windows and a new door… We had new sash windows and a new door frame made to fit an original door we’d managed to salvage. The whole process throughout was smooth and with great communication. Larry was always keen to ensure our opinions were taken on board. The door needed some additional work prior to painting but we agreed what was needed and the end product has transformed our house, especially considering the old aluminium windows and door we had before. Larry and his team did a great job for our neighbour's house so I got in touch with him before Christmas to see if he could help to get my daughter's room redecorated and also put in some shelves in two cupboards. Although the work was not substantial, he was very quick to respond and visited us shortly after to provide a quote. I felt the quote was reasonable. The work started in the third week of Jan as originally agreed. The team always arrived on time and were very polite. They were also great with our kids and tried to finish work before the kids came home for the day. The work itself was of a very high quality and done efficiently. No mess was left behind as the team always made sure that they cleaned up before finishing each day. We also had a couple of small repairs which the team did for us whilst they were on site. I really felt the whole team truly understands the requirements and knows well how to work with families. They are willing to go above and beyond to make sure the work is completed to a high standard and to our specific requirements. I cannot recommend them enough.

Quality workmanship and professionalism K&D repaired some expensive large gates for me. Their service included removal and refitting the gates. The repair involved replacing the rotted tongue and groove boarding with a solid wood replacement, which looked the same, because the joints were a weak point for rot. The finished gates were also resprayed. Everything was bespoke and heavy. The work and the staff were very professional.

Highly recommend. We used K&D for three components of our whole house renovation. (1) Period sash windows, double glazed - beautiful, look like originals. (2) Period front door - very accommodating of changes to the design throughout process. (3) Bespoke contemporary sliding and bifold doors and french windows - required very close working with our architect as these were non-standard items in every way (and many other joiners declined to even consider the job), we are very happy with the results! Our order took place during a period where there were lots of covid related delays. However, the whole team at K&D were always very responsive with updates over email or phone. We are particularly impressed with the follow up support. K&D always send someone over very quickly to deal with any snagging issues.

K&D have just finished installing new wooden sash windows in our house; 2 large bay windows and 8 others. They have done an incredible job. Here's why: 1. The quality of the joinery is outstanding - the windows are beautiful, and we're delighted we didn't go with a cheaper option (particularly upvc). 2. Larry and the team were a delight to have around the house - cheerful, polite, hard working and incredibly tidy. They don't rush, preferring to get it right rather than just getting the job done, and all with good humour. 3. We were worried that we might be left with a huge job of making good, particularly inside the house, but in fact the finish is excellent. You can't expect them to match the colours on the walls, but our decorator won't have a tough job when he comes in – just a dab of paint here and there. Outside everything is perfect! We've had numerous positive comments, including one from a local estate agent who made a point of saying how good they look.

Bespoke Dining room cabinet. We recently purchased a bespoke dresser from K&D. Andrew was very helpful with the design process and was quick to answer our questions.
