Accoya wood for a residential project by K and D joinery
Accoya has featured a project that K&D Joinery has manufactured the windows and large sliding doors. K&D were appointed by the award winning Pardon Chambers Architects to manufacture and install this 12m run of sliding doors, sliding windows and exterior panelling for a contemporary refurb project in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Accoya is suitable for windows, doors, and cladding as it is exceptionally stable and durable. The products stand the test of time, looking great for years to come.

All manufactured in Accoya and finished in a translucent stain and seal from the Teknos Forest Inspirations range of flexible and breathable exterior finishes. We supplied and installed a lift & slide mechanism by Seigenia, the Germany based manufacturer of high quality sliding door mechanisms. The system used provides an incredibly easy and smooth operation to open and close these very large and heavy 2.3m square doors. The 28mm double glazed units incorporated 6mm toughened Sunguard SN 70/35 glass by Guardian giving a U value of just 1.1 W/m2K.

Following extensive landscaping to the garden the client now has a stunning rear elevation to this contemporary family home.
