Derek Brooks

Derek Brooks our office buyer has raised over £700 for River hospital, a neurological unit. Keen to raise money, Derek participated in an abseil from a water tower in Harlow. Inspired by his brother in law who joined him raising money for a great cause close to his family’s heart.

A widowed 82 year, Terry Card a very active man in the community, gives his time to charitable causes, one of which is ‘Pets as therapy’. Bringing his two chiwawa dogs to patients on the neurological unit, giving therapy, connection and recovery through petting of cats, dogs and other animals. Terry was inspired to help the people he was meeting through ‘Pets as therapy’ so Terry and Derek decided to do a sponsored Abseil.

Larry Kearns Director and his family raised £650 for Elhap. Elhap is a playground sensory centre where children with learning difficulties and disabilities in the East London and Essex area are given time and space to play and learn. This also allows parents time to rest away from their duty of care . The work they do is so vital and needed in the community. The Kearns family completed a 10k walk around the park next to the Elhap centre in Woodford Green. Elhap has supported family friends with the service for some years, between the amazing careers, the facilities and space. Elhap provides children and teenagers with support, fun and friends.
